Debra’s abstract acrylic paintings explore the impact of bold colour and dynamics of form to create movement and energy in the composition. Music, emotions, environment influence the painting process as layers of paint are applied with gestural brushwork to the surface of the canvas. Her paintings can be found in private collections in Canada, U.S. and Europe. Debra graduated with BFA Honours in Visual Arts from York University, Commercial Arts Certificate from George Brown College and studied at Sheridan College School of Design. Debra has exhibited in group exhibitions in Toronto , Brampton, Caledon and surrounding areas and her paintings have been selected in juried shows and has received awards. Debra has a studio at the Alton Mill Arts Centre.
